Lord Pezi Junior has made his mark in the Showjumping world as a consistent athletic performer competing at the very highest level of sport.
Both Marco Kuscher and Pedro Veniss have competed Lord Pezi Junior at the highest level in Europe and the US. He has competed in high-level jumping competitions from CSI2* to CSI5* Grand Prix and also placing in the Longines Global Championship tour.
He has excelled throughout his career placing in many international competitions and has won as a young horse showjumping tests up to intermediate (M), qualifying for the Bundeschampionat in which he placed a very respectable third.
Since 2020, Brazilian Pedro Veniss, who succeeded German Marco Kutcher, has ridden Lord Pezi Junior to great success at the top level. Veniss and Lord Pezi Junior placed sixth in the Longines FEI Show Jumping World Cup in Madrid in November 2023, winning six international classes at Chantilly, Saint-Tropez, and Vejer de la Frontera over the year. German Hartwig Rohde had produced Lord Pezi Junior before Kutcher and Veniss.
Offspring and Stallion Gradings
Lord Pezi Junior was named I-b Main Premium Winner at the 2013 Oldenburg Stallion Days in Vechta for his first crop of gorgeous, athletic, springy, well-balanced juveniles.
He won the OS-International licensing premium in 2011 and scored well in the Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test in 2012. Lord Pezi Junior placed many times in his Young Showjumper examinations at novice (A), elementary (L), and intermediate (M).
The youthful star of Böckmann’s jumper stallions became Oldenburg Vice Champion in 2014 and qualified for the Bundeschampionat multiple times in Warendorf, finishing third.
Lord Pezi
His sire, Lord Pezi, who died in 2010, was the flagship of the Böckmann studfarm. He had a strong pedigree and earned advanced (S) level show jumping, which he passed on to his offspring. Lord Pezi’s internationally successful sons and daughters include Louis with Annina Züger/SUI, Little Pezi with Amre Hamcho/SYR, Niagara with Mynou Diedrichsmeier, Luis with Jana Wargers, Pezi with Joana Schildknecht/SUI, Lord Spezi with Margie Goldstein-Engele/USA, Lord Larry with Louisa Müller, Lariccello with Helen McNaught/GBR, and Londinium with Lillie Keen Leander placed eighth under Christian Ahlmann at the Lanaken WC for young showjumpers in 2015. Jackie Brown, daughter of Lord Pezi, won a ribbon with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum in Lyon/FRA, while Lord Pepsi won with Paul Estermann/SUI. Over 70 of Lord Pezi’s descendants win over 600,000 Euros in advanced (S) showjumping.
18 sons of Lord Pezi are approved for breeding, including OS Champion Stallion Luca Toni, Hanoverian Jumper Champion Lord Fauntleroy (who sold for 180,000 Euros at the 2011 Verden stallion market and placed in the 2014 Bundeschampionat final), and NRW Premium Stallion Legendario Listo (who sold for 140,000 Euros).
